Black and Blue is a 2019 American movie directed by Deon Taylor, from a screenplay by Peter A. Dowling. And the movie was starred by Naomie Harris, Tyrese Gibson, Mike Colter, Reid Scott, Beau Knapp, and Frank Grillo. The movie will be coming out by October 25, 2019.

Black and Blue Storyline

Naomie Harris stars as a Rookie cop in the action thriller. And She inadvertently captures the murder of a young drug dealer on her body cam. When she realized that the murder was committed by corrupt cops, she teams up with the one person from her community who is willing to help her (Tyrese Gibson).

She embarks on a trip to escape the criminal organization out for revenge as well as the corrupt police who are desperate to destroy the incriminating footage.

Production

In August 2017, Screen Gems had acquired the Sean Sorensen script. Plans were in place to produce the film under the Royal Viking Entertainment banner. Further announcements were released in August 2018, that Deon Taylor would direct the film. Roxanne Avent will serve as an executive in the producer under her Hidden Empire Film Group banner.

It wasn’t until  December 2018, Naomie Harris joined the cast of the film. And in January 2019, Frank Grillo, Reid Scott, Tyrese Gibson, Beau Knapp, Mike Colter, and Nafessa Williams joined the cast of the film.

And in March 2019, James Moses Black joined the cast of the film. Lastly, Frankie Smith joined the cast of the film in April 2019.
