Deleting old emails from your inbox should be something you do frequently with both your work and personal email accounts. And one of the reasons is because some messages can take so much space. And when this is done you receive a warning message that your inbox needs to be reduced.
It can be frustrating when you go to search for an important email, and couldn’t find it. But if you deleted the email from Gmail, there are quite some few steps recovering it before it’s permanently deleted from the server.
Recovering emails from the Trash folder
Thankfully, Gmail has identified that people are quite clumsy and often accidentally delete emails. Therefore, it’s implemented a two-layer deletion process, so if you just deleted the email from your inbox it’s unlikely it would have been completely removed from Google’s servers.
If you do accidentally delete an email and you haven’t cleared the trash yet, it’s worth heading to the trash folder and searching for the email you think you’ve deleted. But if you’re not sure what it is or can’t remember any other information that may appear in it then you can browse through the entire folder.
When you’ve found the email, you can live it back to your inbox or file it in a folder. You can do this by clicking on the folder icon under the search bar.
However, if you’ve permanently deleted your email from the trash. Or it’s been more than 30days since you delete the message. Then you will have to go dipper in recovering such emails.
Recovering emails by sending mail to Google (when it’s no more In the trash folder)
If you can’t find the email in the Trash, this may be because you have unknowingly emptied the Trash folder.
If this has occurred, then you can send a request to Gmail Support. By asking them to recover those deleted messages from your Gmail account.
To submit an inquiry, subsequently, you need to go to Gmail’s missing email web page, and then fill out the form with the necessary details. When this is done, click on the Submit button.
